CFPB Update / Year in Review

In this session, important mortgage-related updates from the CFPB that occurred over the past year will be discussed. The topics will include general trends and observations, updates on the legal challenges to the CFPB’s authority, and notes about what has happened from a rulemaking, enforcement, and supervisory perspective.
Jonathan Kolodziej is a partner at Bradley in the firm’s Banking and Financial Services practice group. He also serves as co-leader of the firm’s CFPB team. Jonathan represents all types of financial services clients in regulatory compliance, examination, and enforcement matters. His regulatory compliance practice centers around helping clients ensure that their operations are in compliance with applicable federal and state consumer financial laws while also demonstrating compliance to regulators. He has spent substantial time over the years working with mortgage companies on CFPB examinations, issues related to CFPB rulemakings such as the mortgage servicing rules, and COVID-19 developments.
