Jeff Naimon is a Partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Buckley LLP, with more than 25 years of experience assisting bank and nonbank financial services providers (and investors in same) with regulatory, enforcement, and transactional matters.

He defends financial services companies facing complex examination or enforcement matters before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and federal and state banking regulators, with a focus on fair lending, unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts and practices, loan servicing, privacy and credit reporting, debt collection, servicemember protections and other consumer protection issues.

Mr. Naimon is consistently recognized as a leading lawyer in Financial Services Regulation: Consumer Finance (Compliance) in Chambers USA, which praised him for his "extremely high intellect regarding compliance matters and negotiation skills. There's none better at arguing a disputed point." He is also a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers. Mr. Naimon received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from Yale University (magna cum laude).

Steve O'Connor's Bio

Steve O'Connor is Senior Vice President for Affordable Housing Initiatives at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). He manages MBA's efforts to support the affordable housing policy and business objectives of our members. He is also responsible for outreach to industry groups, consumer organizations, and other key stakeholders. O'Connor is a regular guest speaker on industry issues. 

O'Connor leads MBA's Consumer Affairs Advisory Council. He also serves on a number of industry boards, including the National Housing Conference, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Freddie Mac's Affordable Housing Advisory Council, the National Urban League's Business Solutions Council, the Homeownership Council of America, and Quick Loans Consumer Advisory Council.

O'Connor joined MBA in 1996. Previously, he worked in government affairs for the National Association of Realtors and Freddie Mac. He also worked for Skyline Financial Services Corporation. O'Connor holds a Bachelor's degree in political science from Marquette University and a Master's degree in political science from American University.

Kirk Willison's Bio

Vice President of Government and Industry Relations

Kirk Willison is vice president for government and industry relations at Arch Mortgage Insurance where he is responsible for corporate advocacy on Capitol Hill and before regulatory agencies.  Kirk also heads Arch MI’s efforts to develop and enhance relationships with national, state and local trade associations in the housing finance industry.  He is the host of the Arch Mortgage Insurance PolicyCast video podcast series in which he holds conversations with some of the nation’s most influential leaders in housing and finance. He also writes and publishes the Arch MI Capital Commentary, a brisk, biweekly newsletter covering the latest news in housing that can be read in just six minutes. Kirk’s experience in housing policy extends nearly 30 years. Previously, he’s headed public affairs operations for San Diego’s HomeFed Bank, Countrywide Home Loans, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae. He holds a Master’s degree in public policy from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UCLA. He lives outside of Washington, D.C.
