Liz Barnicle is the National Director of the Customer Group at MERSCORP Holdings, Inc.  The organization, with over 5,000 customers, owns and operates the MERS®System, which tracks the serving rights and beneficial ownership rights for over 77% of all mortgages in the U.S.  MERSCORP Holdings also owns and operates the MERS® eRegistry, the national mortgage registry and system of record for identifying the Controller and Location of all electronic notes.  

 

Her primary focus is to support MERS®System Members as they evolve their business, and provide tools for digital mortgage implementation, including the MERS®eRegistry and MERS®eNote Solutions. 

 

Liz joined MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. in March 2018 from MetaSource, a technology-driven provider of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) / Business Process Management (BPM) services. As Director of Business Development, she was tasked with cultivating the MERS® QA data integrity platform and other QC outsourced channels.

 

She entered the mortgage market in 2010 as a shareholder and member of the Sales Management Team at Titan Lenders Corp. Her primary role was to develop and sell a diversified product set that included Warehouse Line QC, Trade Transaction Management, Whole Loan Purchase Review, General Fulfillment (outsourced closing, funding, post-closing and shipping), and MERS Data Integrity and QA Services. She helped position Titan for a successful exit and acquisition by MetaSource in 2016. 

 

She received a BA in Media Communications and Minor in Biology from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since earning the MBA’s Accredited Mortgage Professional designation, she is in pursuit of her Certified Mortgage Banker accreditation.

Debbie Hoffman is Founder & CEO of Symmetry Blockchain Advisors working with clients in their endeavors related to education, strategy and implementation of blockchain solutions.  With her experience in financial services, law and technology innovation, Debbie brings a unique perspective to blockchain innovation. Debbie was previously the Chief Legal Officer at Digital Risk and a finance attorney at Thacher Proffitt & Wood in New York.  She served as a professor at the Florida A&M University College of Law and the University of Central Florida.  Debbie was selected as a 2018, 2016 and 2014 Woman of Influence by Housingwire Magazine and has been the receipt of two Stevie® Awards.  She was also named a 2018 NAWRB Roaring Thirty Winner.  In 2017 Debbie was named as a Top General Counsel by First Chair Awards, received an Honorable Mention in MReport’s Women in Housing and was a “Hot 100” in Mortgage Professional America.

Rajkumar (Raj) Jagani is a Senior Product Development Manager on Fannie Mae’s eMortgage team. He is responsible for customer and industry outreach, managing Fannie Mae’s eVault, and improving the overall eMortgage customer experience. Raj has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2014, Raj worked in government consulting. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and playing cricket in a semi-professional league.

Jeffrey McEvoy is a pioneer in eClosings. In 2005, Jeff assisted the Shelby County, Tenn., Register’s Office in its development of an eFiling Register’s site. After fine-tuning, the system was offered to attorneys and recorders across the United States. Later, Jeff joined with Stewart Title to promote electronic closings. Jeff and his team worked with the eClosing developers of the title insurance company to promote eClosings, eVaults and eNotary. In 2007, Jeff’s team recorded the first electronically executed deed of trust for the State of Tennessee through a partnership with a large regional bank. Jeff worked with the developers on the eClosing process to make it accessible to settlement agents, lenders and borrowers.

 

Jeff began utilizing a paperless closing system in 2005 and has eliminated paper files for his residential real estate closings. Jeff’s practice now focuses on real estate settlement services and title insurance. Jeff provides instruction to lenders, real estate agents and fellow attorneys on TRID, eClosings and real estate practice.

 

He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a graduate of the Cumberland School of Law. Jeff has been practicing law since 1989.
