Amy has been in the mortgage industry for the last 23 years.  She has experience as both a Loan Processor and Loan Closer but found her passion most recently in Underwriting.  Amy is currently a Vice President at Carrollton Bank, a Top Ten Community Bank in the Missouri/Illinois region and is the current Processing and Underwriting Manager for its Mortgage Division.  She has served in this position for the last 3 years and has helped her team to successfully navigate through the recent market surges and industry changes while providing exemplary internal and external customer service.

 

Amy is currently the President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of St. Louis, Missouri.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling with friends as well as spending time with her children and their pets.

Samantha Brown is a Mortgage Loan Underwriter at First Trust Home Loans in Arkansas.  She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2012 with a Master’s in Business Administration.  With more than 10 years’ experience in the industry, Samantha has worked in nearly every facet of the mortgage lending process.  While she is known as the “FHA guru” among her colleagues, she is most famously known as Mom.  Samantha has been married to her husband, Matthew Brown, for six years and together they have two children, Nora and Lawson.

Stephen Gassert is the Underwriting Manager for Mortgage Investors Group headquartered in Knoxville, TN. He manages a team of 18 underwriters that assist loan officers throughout the Southeast with financing Conventional, FHA, VA, RD, and non-conforming loans for clients. With the highest number of Rural Development loans in the state, Mortgage Investors Group is also the leading mortgage lender in East Tennessee.

 

Stephen is a seasoned mortgage professional who has dedicated himself to the mortgage industry his entire career. Stephen has been an auditor preparing mortgage packages for secondary market delivery, worked with national and regional mortgage lenders in various operations, and quickly expanded into leadership roles within underwriting. Today, MIG benefits from the nearly three decades of industry experience that Stephen brings to the table to create effective processes while developing a talented operations team.

Stephanie has over 35 years of experience in mortgage lending and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Mortgage Operations Manager of BankPlus Mortgage.  She has had the opportunity to work in various roles in the industry, spending over 15 years with a focus on Mortgage Loan Underwriting.  Stephanie has successfully navigated some of the challenges that could prevent a successful loan closing.  She and her husband reside in Brandon, Mississippi, and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
