Strategic Business and Relationship Team

Fannie Mae


Christy Moss is part of the Strategic Business and Relationship team at Fannie Mae. In her current role, Moss works to connect lenders and industry partners to Fannie Mae tools and technology with the goal of increasing adoption and utilization to increase lender efficiency and borrower satisfaction.  


Additionally, the Strategic Business and Relationship team supports Fannie Mae’s relationships with national affinity and trade association relationships and relationships with key industry partners, to better serve our customers.  Moss represents Fannie Mae at industry events helping to educate industry partners on current tools and products. 


Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2008, she spent over 20 years managing correspondent relationships with Wachovia Mortgage and GE Capital Mortgage.  


Moss received her CMB designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association in 2017 and has a bachelor of arts in Public Relations and Communications from Georgia State University.

Director of Loan Operations



Rhonda Ronnow has been with the Tennessee Housing Development Agency since May 2004. Rhonda is the Director of Loan Operations, a position that she has held since February 2015. In this role, she is responsible for the daily oversight of the Agency’s Single Family Loan Operations & Production including Homebuyer Education and HUD Counseling.  She has worked in various lending, outreach, and program development roles in single-family during her tenure at THDA. She joined the Agency after working extensively in origination and underwriting in the private sector of the mortgage industry for over 12 years.

Freddie Mac


Dennis Smith is an Affordable Lending Manager in the Single-Family Affordable Lending and Access to Credit organization. Mr. Smith manages the manufactured housing initiatives that support Freddie Mac’s underserved markets plan.


A 20-year mortgage industry veteran, Mr. Smith has served the industry as an underwriter, underwriting and process manager, process improvement, product development and managed the CRA and Bond programs for a super-regional mortgage company.  

Freddie Mac was established by Congress in 1970 to provide liquidity, stability and affordability to the nation’s residential mortgage markets. Freddie Mac supports communities across the nation by providing mortgage capital to lenders. Down Payment Resources

Joe Whitaker manages sales for the Down Payment Resource lender channel. He has more than 15 years of experience in the mortgage finance industry, including positions in strategic sales and account management at Genworth. 

With his tenure in mortgage lending, Whitaker provides important sales and leadership focus to Down Payment Resource (DPR) partners and stakeholders. 


Whitaker has served on the board of directors of multiple local Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) chapters and is a past president of the Southwest Indiana Mortgage Bankers. He has also participated as a fundraiser and volunteer for several Habitat for Humanity homes.

DPR is the first in the housing industry to aggregate and continually update information about homeownership programs nationwide. The company tracks more than 2,500 homebuyer programs through about 1,300 housing finance agency partners. DPR’s tools are licensed to Multiple Listing Services, Realtor Associations, lenders and housing counselors across the country.

Director - Community Lending Solutions



Harper Wong has been in the lending industry since 1991 and joined MGIC in 1998.  Since joining MGIC she has served in a variety of capacities, including Sales Manager, Senior Account Manager and currently as Director- Community Lending Solutions. Based in Northern California, Harper has spent over twenty years focused on cultivating sustainable homeownership and educating lenders and homeowners regarding their opportunities in the housing market.


She currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and four children.
